WHO: Little Words Project
As we get older and evolve, so does the childhood classic, the friendship bracelet. I don't know about you, but I have different types. Hand made ones with string and neon beaded ones to the ones I like to call my "adult friendship bracelet" by Hermes and Cartier. But my recent find was Little Words Project, a trackable friendship bracelet with the intention of "paying it forward" to someone in need of the words on your bracelet. With everything from words of encouragement to friendship bonding, the Little Words Project aims to promote sisterhood and positive girl vibes.
On the LWP website, you can pick from pre determined words or customize your own inspirational bracelet; buying it for yourself or others. On the bracelet charm there is a code you can enter online and register the bracelet, so when you pass it on to someone else who needs the words of inspiration, you can see over time, how far and wide your words have gone.
I spent a little time with, Adriana Botti, the founder and designer of the Little Words Project and got to know some fun little facts about her which you can find out below. Botti, a native New Jersey girl, started LWP back in college as a way to spread the love among her sorority sisters. Today, her business has expanded across the globe and continues to inspire and motivate, one bracelet at a time.
Today, June 8th, is National Best Friends Day and in honor of that, I bought and customized a bracelet for my BFF (since we were 5!) reading "Live Well". We get so wrapped up in our lives that sometimes we need a little reminder that we need to take care of ourselves and live the best life we can and not sweat the small stuff.
Below, read some fun facts about Adriana and I hope it inspires you to use your words to change the world, one wrist at a time.
So, this National Best Friends Day, make sure to tell your BFF how much she or he means to you, not just today, but any chance you get. Amazing and true friends are rare so cherish them and your time with them <3
As always, GO JETSETAWAY and cheers to all the best friends out there!
*This post is dedicated to my BFF, Brittny, friends since the age of 5. After almost 26 years of friendship, there is nothing this girl does not know or would not do for me. The tremendous amount of adventures we have been on together, the laughs we have shared, the heartbreaks we suffered through, the trouble we have gotten ourselves into, the fights we have grown from; I wouldn't trade a moment of it. You mean the world to me Sis <3, Happy National Best Friends Day!
