DIP IT, SHAKE IT, TOP IT, EAT IT

If you know me at all, you know I love to attempt to DIY things and I LOVE ice cream. From a very young age, I was already addicted to otter pops (remember those!?) and eating ice cream as if it were its own food group. When Magnum popped up on Prince street in Soho, I knew this summer was going to be magical. The Belgium brand has created plenty of pop up ice cream bar concepts before, but this is the first in the United States, and boy am I glad it was here in NYC! 

For $7, you can customize a vanilla or chocolate base ice cream bar with your choice of 3 toppings. There are over 20 different options to pick from including Goji Berries and gold flakes to cinnamon sugar crystals and rose petals, so choose wisely. You can also pick dark, milk or white chocolate to have the bar dipped into and finally, the type of chocolate to drizzle on top. Its then adorned with a little piece of white or dark chocolate. Voila, a masterpiece is made and if you can believe, more delicious than it is pretty. I clearly couldn't make up my mind, so I made four separate ones. All for me.

Well, there goes my summer body and diet plans, but at least my ice cream options are limited. Or boring for that matter.

Magnum New York is open daily from noon until 9am until August 7th and is located at 134 Prince Street.
